Over all not a bad camp ground,I'm like most people today the internet is a big part of our life. While any motel has internet to each room with one password Colonia del Ray can't do it. Their internet is useless it takes sometimes 2 mins. to load a page. I needed to finish some work but couldn't because if you try to send a file they pull your internet for up to 10 mins. We had a teen with us when she went to you tube she was cut off. Funny she said what kind of internet is this? We left 2 days early because of this. There is a McDonalds about a mile away with real internet. The pool needs work in a big way. we came in Sunday night a little before 9 and wanted to go in the pool it was closed,no hot tub for us that night.the people were nice. Over all I won't go back.

We were at this campground for one week last winter. We found the office staff to be friendly and helpful and extremely courteous. The other campers were great and we made some nice friends. We would definitely return to this facility.

We camped at this campground with our kids for a central location for our vacation outings. The showers were nice and private rooms. It had a great location - easily accessible to anywhere we wanted to go... It was close to beaches, and especially easy to cross the bridge over to North Padre - which was the BEST place to go to the beach - perfect sand, not too crowded or touristy - but perfect for the family.

This is a good campground located close to the bridge going over to the island. I found it to be in a good locaion for what we were doing, gulf side beach lounging. It is a little ways from the center of town tourist attractions, however this was not a problem for us due to the interstate that is within 1/2 mile of the park entrance. Every one that has been here I know has not had any complants about the park. It was easy to get our 40 foot pusher towing a full size pickup behind it around inside the campground. We had a great time and will stay here again.
