Nice but too much gun noise

The campground is nice and close to us for a weekend camping trip without driving a long distance. We would have preferred to be on a site with grass since we have dogs however, the site we had was reasonably level so setting up was every easy. A major problem for us is there is a sportsman/gun club located next door. While I can deal with the gun shots, this does not work if your dogs do not like loud bangs like fire crackers and obviously gun shots. It was bad enough that you could hear numerous dogs barking after shots went off. Fortunately, we lived close enough to take the dogs home during the day but that added some unnecessary stress that we did not need. The campground's website should mention this as we probably would not have gone there since we know that our dogs (a Border Collie and a Border/Sheltie mix) get upset and will bark at the noise and these are dogs that are normally quiet when camping.

Wouldn't Go Back

Our site was great but the facilities need help. There is alot of traffic noise from the nearby PA Turnpike, the gun club is next door so this time of year there was alot of gunfire, there were absolutely no activities planned (I consider September still active camping season) and the shower water was cold. I wouldn't return, there are so many other campgrounds in the area with better location and facilities.

I stayed at this facility for the convenience of its location. The campground was nice, but the facilities left a lot to be desired. it is located right off of the pa. turnpike which creates a lot of truck noise also it is located next to a gun club whose members fire weapons all day. The showers were cold at best, my wife and I had the same experience with the showers.

This is our second time to pinch pond and again it did not disappoint. I like how they greet you at the gate and escort you to your site. They help with backing in also big plus with the wife lol. They let you get set up before checking in. The campground is very neat and clean. You can tell that the management really cares about the place. We always camp here and go to the renaissance fair. It is only 2 minutes away so that saves on drive time. We can't wait to next year.
